The 25th Annual Meeting of the Spine Intervention Society

July 19 – 22, 2017     San Francisco Mariott Marquis

General Session : Regenerative Medicine
Learn the latest information about the rapidly expanding field of regenerative medicine. The speakers discuss the latest research and the clinical use of stem cells, bone marrow aspiration concentrate, platelet-rich plasma (PRP), amniotic tissue, and alpha-2-macroglobulin in the interventional spine field. The use of these therapies in clinical practice is also debated.

About the SIS:

The Spine Intervention Society (SIS), formerly known as the International Spine Intervention Society, has spent the last 25 years developing and promoting the highest standards for the practice of interventional procedures in the diagnosis and treatment of spine pain. Our Society is driven by leading multi-specialty physicians who are dedicated to advancing awareness of the implementation of evidence-based spine interventions through practice, advocacy, research, and education. With over 2,600 members, the Society comprises physicians from multiple specialties: Anesthesiology, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Radiology, Neurology, Orthopedic Surgery, and Neurosurgery.

AMSSM 26th Annual Meeting:  MEDICINE IN MOTION

The AMSSM Annual Meeting is the premier educational meeting
for sports medicine physicians and healthcare providers and it
highlights the latest research and medical practices to enhance
the care of sports medicine patients.

Our theme for the meeting will highlight motion as it pertains to
many aspects of our sports medicine practices from the changes
and evolution of healthcare, to our athlete’s biomechanics and their
overall activities and training they perform, as well as an emphasis
on traveling physicians, who are constantly in motion providing care
for athletes all over the world.

About AMSSM:

The American Medical Society for Sports Medicine (AMSSM) was formed in 1991 to fill a void that has existed in sports medicine from its earliest beginnings. The Founders, most recognized and expert sports medicine specialists, realized that while there were several physician organizations which supported sports medicine, there was not a forum specific for primary care non-surgical sports medicine physicians.

Previous Lectures and Presentations

Intervertebral Disc Repair & Regeneration Lecture

Dr. Bodor will present a lecture on Intervertebral Disc Repair at the North American Spine Society’s 12th annual 2016 Evidence & Technology Spine Summit, February 24 – 27 in Park City, Utah.

Dr. Bodor’s success in treating various musculosleletal conditions with Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) inspired him to apply PRP  to vertebral discs, with great results. In this lecture, Dr. Bodor explains the anatomy of vertebral discs, the progression of spine degeneration and various factors contributing to this problem. he describes his standard protocol and will share a details of a few highly successful cases. these patients have experienced years, if not decades, of chronic back pain with the PRP treatment being the first to result in improved mobility and the ability to strengthen the area.

Industry leaders and visionaries come together to build a new medical speciality through a non-profit that is facilitating the transition from scalples to needles. Surrounded by pioneers in regenerative orthobiologics, guests learn about cutting-edge research, industry trends and ideas from top-quality presenters and exhibitors. The presentations will address current clinical and research topics and allow physicians to determine the best practices in interventional orthopedics as well as the standardization of orthobiologics.

Dr. Marko Bodor presented on Ultrasound-guided Carpal Tunnel Release.
