A sincere thank you to the Napa Medical Research Foundation’s Board of Directors, staff and our supportive community for allowing me the opportunity to lead the Foundation and promote our important work in regenerative orthopedics research. I am thrilled to get started!
I am humbled by the stories shared with me by our community members describing the relief of pain and increase in mobility, which are made possible by the research and treatments Dr. Marko Bodor and his team conduct and administer on a daily basis.
A dear friend’s daughter is suffering from Sever’s Disease, which is stunting her ability to play catcher on her softball team and slowing her Taekwondo practice. Under the care of the Foundation and Dr. Bodor, this young lady already has less pain and more freedom, allowing her to engage in the athletics that keep her thriving. Stories like these are shared by patients who experience relief in arthritic hands and knees, painful lower back and hips, or carpal tunnel syndrome. This genuine, successful care is making our families more active and our communities more connected.
Before my transition to the nonprofit sector in 2007, I held various executive-level roles in the technology industry. I have always had a great passion for serving families in the developing world, first as a donor and then as Vice President of Business Development at Fair Trade USA. It was in that capacity I discovered the impact of helping communities, particularly women and girls, to improve their wellness and quality of life. The work that we do at the Napa Medical Research Foundation is an extension of that passion and I am honored to be a part of this very special team.
President, Napa Medical Research Foundation
