NMRF Featured in TEDxMarin Innovator Showcase

Napa Medical Research Foundation (NMRF) makes their public debut at the 2018 TEDxMarin on Saturday, September 15, 2018 at the College of Marin.

The theme of the 9th TEDxMarin Annual Gala + Filming is The Bigger Picture: Staying Human in a Digital Age. Speakers will explore how to both embrace technologies that usher in a more free, abundant and connected world while identifying the impact it’s already having on our minds, our bodies, sense of purpose and traditions.

Napa Medical Research Foundation is the only Napa-based organization to join The Buck Institute, California Film Institute, Biologic Health, and 20 other innovative companies, technologies, new products, start-ups and nonprofits for this year’s Innovator Showcase.

NMRF supports a team of researchers, led by Napa physician Dr. Marko Bodor, focused on advancing the field of regenerative medicine and pioneering new, minimally invasive medical techniques and procedures. The goal of the NMRF is to improve diagnosis and treatment for conditions of the joints, spine, tendons and nerves affecting adults and children across the greater Bay Area, and worldwide. Their research employs cellular therapies, high precision ultrasound, and a state-of-the-art laboratory equipment to develop critical new insights and yield important leading-edge discoveries.

The 2018 TEDxMarin event will address compelling questions, including “What oncoming innovations promise to rewrite what’s possible in health, energy and economy?” and “Will these innovations finally support a better, more balanced life for us and our children?”

Through its commitment to developing less invasive, less painful and less costly ways to reduce pain, increase mobility and improve quality of life, the NMRF is an inspiring example of how the convergence of humanity and technology can yield highly effective, meaningful results.

Representatives from the NMRF, including Director of Research Dr. Marko Bodor, will introduce their leading-edge work to more than 750 guests in attendance. For more information, please visit www.NapaMedicalResearch.org.

Tickets to the Gala Reception and Showcase can be purchased through www.tedxmarin.org.
